Our Innovators’ Pitch in the outstanding competition for early stage startups. Young entrepreneurs all over Europe get the chance to present their innovative products and prototypes in the emerging categories Digital Health, IoT and Mobility. In each category three finalists present their business on stage to a high-level jury and an expert audience. The three winners take away a check of €5,000 each and other attractive prizes.
We are glad to announce SAP as our category partner for the category IoT. As VP IoT & Customer Innovation / COO and Product Services, Eva Zauke will be SAP’s jury member.
We talked with her about the SAP IoT Accelerator, the challenges in the field of IoT and the Innovators’ Pitch 2016.
Eva, what exactly is the SAP IoT Accelerator?
The SAP IoT Accelerator is a structured co-innovation program for selected B2B start-ups, key customers and partners. With this program start-ups will be supported to grow and scale their businesses alongside with SAP and our customers around Internet of Things (IoT). We are located in Berlin-Mitte in the newly set up Data Space. In the first half of 2017, we will officially launch the program.
You are partner of the category IoT at Innovators’ Pitch 2016. What will be the challenges in this field?
Making the paradigm shift from traditional, industrial manufacturing towards digitalization including novel technologies, and business models is a crucial asset for the future success of many organizations. The underlying complexity however imposes many challenges, including heterogeneous devices standards, security & privacy concerns, lack of skills. No player alone will cover the entire IoT space. In this context SAP’s aim is to offer to both start-ups and customers access to a thriving and integrated IoT ecosystem.
As a category partner and jury member: What are your hopes and expectations for Innovators’ Pitch 2016?
We are looking forward to meet startups, especially with a focus on IoT solutions who want to bring enterprise digitalization together with SAP and our customers to a new level. IoT offers a wide range of opportunities with smart, connected and embedded intelligence and products with a huge potential for new businesses and markets.
