Mobile banking, access to investment marketplaces throughout Europe, credit rating via artificial intelligence – digitization is changing the financial sector rapidly. With lots of new ideas, innovative financial products and a great understanding of digital technologies, FinTechs have a decisive influence on this transformation. They make financial transactions faster and more agile, develop new and comfortable services for consumers and companies or even create new markets.
In doing so, they offer a lot of advantages – not only for the industry but also for everyone using financial services. But all these benefits can only be used ideally if there is a fitting regulatory framework. Just think of topics like consumer protection and the stability of the financial system.
Discuss major opportunities and challenges for European FinTechs
Exciting times in Brussels: Currently the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs of the European Parliament deals with the influence of technology on the future of the financial sector. Besides the European Commission has just called for contribution to his consultation on a more competitive and innovative European financial sector.

How can FinTechs strengthen the competitive European financial sector? And how can startups and established companies cooperate to drive forward the digitization of the financial industry?
